• Calvary Chapel has been formed as a fellowship of believers in the Lordship of Jesus Christ. It is our desire to know Christ and to be conformed into His image by the power of the Holy Spirit.

We are not a denominational church, nor are we opposed to denominations as such, only to their over-emphasis of the doctrinal differences that have led to the division of the Body of Christ.

We believe that the only true basis of Christian fellowship is His Agape love, which is greater than any difference we possess and without which we have no right to claim ourselves Christians.

We believe worship of God should be spiritual.

Therefore we remain flexible and yielded to the leading of the Holy Spirit to direct our worship. (John 4:24)

We believe worship of God should be intelligent.

Therefore, we gather to learn from the Word of God that He might instruct us how He would be worshiped. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)

We believe true worship of God is fruitful.

Therefore, we look for His love in our lives as the supreme manifestation that we are truly worshiping Him. (1 John 4:7-8, 1 Corinthians 13, Galatians 5:22-23)

We are Calvary Chapel Golden Valley, located in the east part of the Santa Clarita Valley, with services on Sunday morning, mid-week Bible Study, Men’s and Women’s Bible Studies, and a Special Needs Service.

We are a traditional Calvary Chapel – teaching the Bible; chapter by chapter, book by book. By studying God’s Word together, we learn how ordinary people can live extraordinary lives through the power of God, thanks to the grace and peace we have in our Savior, Jesus Christ.

We believe strongly that “God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” (2 Timothy 1:7). We are a small, but strong church because of our faithful reliance on Him, not by our own strength or wisdom.

Our services are livestreamed, but we’d really love to have you come join us in person. There is no substitute for the fellowship of people getting together to worship God and study His Word. Hebrews 10:24-25 says,

Jack Winkle

And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.”

Looking at the world around us, I think that “Day” is closer than ever. Come join us!

SPECIAL NEEDS MINISTRY

The leadership and congregation at CCGV have a strong desire to serve the Special Needs Community. Pastor Jack, and his wife Julie, have a 24 year-old son with autism. Several years ago Pastor Jack felt led to offer a special, abbreviated service where the entire family can be together. We open with a greeting and brief prayer, then worship songs with simple accompaniment.  Pastor Jack shares an abbreviated message centered on God’s grace and love, followed by a closing prayer. Nearly every family that has come to the Special Needs Service (11:45 a.m. on Sundays) has said this was the first time they’ve been able to worship together in a church service.

If you or someone you know would like more information on this Special Needs Service, please contact us at (661) 360-8216. We’d be happy to have you join us as we navigate this special calling to serve those with special needs. All are welcome – just like God intended. This intimate service is not online. Resources
